LADY SAINTS GOLF 12TH OF 18 AFTER ROUND 1 OF AGNES McAMIS INVITATIONAL

GREENEVILLE, Tenn.—The Limestone College women’s golf team fired 343 in the opening round of the Agnes McAmis Invitational at the par-72, 5804-yard Links Hill Country Club.  Limestone is currently 12th in the 18-team field at the tournament, hosted by Tusculum College.

Belmont University fired 309 for first, while Newberry College is nine strokes behind in second (318). Tusculum shot 320 for third. Wingate and the University of Indianapolis scored 320 and 321, respectively, to round out the top 5. Other CVAC teams competing include Belmont Abbey (T7th-236), Pfeiffer (T7th-326), Queens (10th-332), and Anderson (11th-335).

Katie Clayton (Lyman, S.C.) is tied for 13th among the 100 individuals at the tournament after scoring 79. Sarah Milner (Greenville, S.C.) is tied for 54th with 86. Miranda Van Arsdale (Hendersonville, N.C.) and Samantha Allison (Jeanette, Pa.) are both tied for 64th after scoring 89.

Limestone continues competition at the Agnes McAmis Invitational on Tuesday.
