LADY SAINTS FINISH 16TH  TUSCULUM COLLEGE/KIAWAH ISLAND INTERCOLLEGIATE

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C.—The Limestone College Lady Saints golf team fired a 362 in the final round of the Tusculum College/Kiawah Island Intercollegiate on Sunday, but couldn’t overcome their first round score of 407 to finish 16th in the 18-team field with a final score of 769. The 36-hole event was played at the Cougar Point Golf Club on February 3-4.

Katie Clayton (Lyman, S.C.) was Limestone’s top finisher as she fired 169 (88-81-169) to place 40th. Miranda Van Arsdale (Hendersonville, N.C.) finished 74th (105-89-194), Sarah Milner (Greenville, S.C.) was 76th (108-94-102), Ellie Hindman finished 78th (106-98-204), while Samantha Allison (Jeannette, Pa.) was 79th (109-100-209).

Rollins and Florida Southern each had a final score of 596 at the end of the tournament, but Rollins won the tournament after a playoff of the fifth player’s score. Nova Southeastern was third (609), Newberry finished fourth (645), and Berry was fifth (647).

Limestone hosts the Upstate Classic in Gaffney, S.C., on March 3-5.
