THOMASVILLE, N.C.-- Limestone's Stephanie Munoz (East Peoria, Ill.)
(16-15 overall, 11-9 conference) has been selected as the NCAA Division II
Conference Carolinas women's basketball Player of the Week during the
final week of the 2007-08 season.
Munoz led the Saints to a 2-0 week to end the regular season
and secure a fifth-place seed in the Conference Carolinas tournament.
In the Saints 78-58 win over Coker, Munoz led all scorers with a career-high
22 points on 6-for-10 shooting from beyond the arc. Munoz also sparked
the Lady Saints' defense with five steals. In the Saints 80-58 win over
Pfeiffer, Munoz had 10 points on 3-of-6 shooting from the field and
2-of-3 from beyond the arc. Munoz also handed out 5 assists in the win.
