LIMESTONE WOMEN’S BASKETBALL GETS 58-42 WIN OVER QUEENS |
CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Monica Adams (Kings Mountain, N.C.) put a damper on Queens University’s homecoming game as she scored 23 points and had 14 boards to lead the Lady Saints to a 58-42 win over the Royals. Limestone improves to 6-8 CVAC (7-14 overall) while Queens remains in the last spot in league standings with a 1-14 conference record (4-18 overall). Adams was 10-for-14 from the field and 3-6 in free throws to score in double digits. She also had a blocked shot. Reagan Robins (Oklahoma City, Okla.) was a major factor coming off of the bench, as she had eight points for LC. Blanca Gonzalez (Chicago, Ill.) had six points, six assists and seven rebounds. Limestone had a season-low 10 turnovers for the contest. The Lady Saints hosts Belmont Abbey on Monday at 5:30 p.m. in Gaffney, S.C., at the Timken Center. |
