LADY SAINTS ROLL PAST PFEIFFER, 75-48

MESENHEIMER, N.C. – The Limestone women’s basketball team defeated Pfeiffer University tonight, 75-48. Ashelle Athill (St. John’s, Antigua) of Pfeiffer led all scorers with 15 points, but was the only Falcon to score in double-digits. For Limestone, five Saints scored in double-digits as Monica Adams (Kings Mountain, N.C.) led the Saints with 13 points. The Saints advance to 12-10 overall, 7-5 in league play, as Pfeiffer drops to 6-14, 3-10 in the conference.

Essence Greer (Washington, D.C.), Ariel Lyons (Brandon, Fla.), Tierney Burdett (Peoria, Ill.) and Lindsey Kyle (Springfield, Va.) all added 12 points a piece for the Saints. Burdett and Kyle also pulled down 9 and 8 rebound respectively. Lyons contributed 5 steals and 4 assists.

Limestone returns to action on Wednesday, traveling to Anderson S.C., for a 5:30 tip off against Anderson University. Pfeiffer will take on Queens University on Saturday at the Grady Cole Center in Charlotte, N.C. at 5:30 pm.
