LADY SAINTS BASKETBALL DROPS ROAD CONTEST TO ST. ANDREWS, 80-64 |
LAURINBURG, N.C.- The Limestone College women’s basketball team lost a road game to conference-rival St. Andrews on Monday evening, 80-64. The Lady Saints fall to 2-3 in the CVAC and 3-9 overall. St. Andrews improves to 4-1 in the conference and 7-2 overall. Limestone’s Lindsay Kyle scored a game-high 23points and led her team with six assists. Reagan Robins scored 16 points, while Shelly Robinson had 10. Addie Graves had a team-high eight rebounds for the Lady Saints. Limestone trailed 39-25 at the half. St. Andrews barely outscored the Lady Saints again in the second half, 41-39. Shooting was a big factor in the game's outcome, as the Knights were 52.2% from the field (35-67) while the Lady Saints shot 33.3% (18-54). Limestone did have the advantage on free throws and three-pointers, gaining 21 points from the free-throw line while St. Andrews only had five. Limestone had 21 points from threes compared to the hosts' 15. The Knights scored 25 points from turnovers compared to Limestone's 15 and SAPC had the only 11 second-chance points of the game. The Lady Saints were out-rebounded 45-34. The Lady Saints hosts Lees-McRae on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the Timken Center. |
