WILSON, NC--Melissa Thomas (Easley, SC) recorded a career high 30 kills and 17 digs to lead Limestone to a 25-30, 30-26, 30-19, 28-30, 15-10 win over Barton College in Conference Carolina action Saturday. With the win, the Saints improve to 14-14 overall, 12-3 in conference play. After dropping the first game 30-25, the Saints rallied to take the next two 30-26 and 30-19. Barton found a spark in game four winning by 2 at 30-28 tying the match at 2 games a piece. The Saints jumped out to an early lead in game five and never looked back winning 15-10, and taking the match 3-2. Two other Limestone hitters also recorded double-digit kills with Ashley Hubbard (Temple, TX) smashing 15 and Samantha Flannery (Acworth, GA) close behind with 12. Hubbard and Flannery also helped out the defensive effort with 5 and 4 blocks respectively. Setters Laura Kerrison (Charleston, SC) and Lynn Milam (Summerville, SC) both recorded double-doubles in the assists/dig categories with Kerrison handing out a career high 53 assists and 17 digs and Milam with 12 assists and 12 digs. Hubbard (5), Kerrison (4) and Milam (4) also had a great day serving as they served up 13 of the team's 17 aces in the win. Courtney Taotoai (Norwalk, CA) and Chelsea Anthony (Pickens, SC) both picked up 20 digs a piece for the defense.
