| LIMESTONE VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS QUEENS AT HOME |
GAFFNEY, SC – The Limestone volleyball team swept visiting Queens University tonight 30-27, 30-21 and 30-21 in Conference Carolina play. Limestone advances to 8-11, 6-1 with the win, while Queens drops to 2-18 on the season, 1-8 in conference play. For the Saints, Jennifer O’Keeffe (Canton, GA) and Melissa Thomas (Easley, SC) led the offense with 11 and 10 kills respectively; helping Laura Kerrison (Charleston, SC) finish with 25 assists. Lynn Milam (Summerville, SC) served up 3 aces and Chelsea Anthony (Pickens, SC) paced the defense with 14 digs. The visiting Royals were led by Veronica Arenander (Cincinnati, OH) with 12 kills, 11 digs and 2 aces. Keatin McKenzie (Coral Springs, FL) added 6 kills for the Royals. Sarah Burt (Pensacola, FL) picked up 21 assists and 2 blocks. Ebony Turner (Charlotte, NC) led the defense with 16 digs while Tanisha Lea (Efland, NC) led all players with 4 blocks. Limestone will travel to Lees-McRae on Saturday to take a crack at the number one seed in the conference; match time is slated for 2:00 pm.
