Limestone's Laura Kerrison Named Volleyball Player of the Week

Thomasville, N.C.> Limestone College's Laura Kerrison (4-8 overall, 2-0 conf.) has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas women's volleyball Player of the Week during week number two in the 2007 season.

The setter from Charleston, SC broke a school record for service aces in a single match when she recorded 11 aces in the three game win over Shaw University this week.  In that win, Kerrison was also the first player this season in the NCAA DII to record a triple double in just three games recording 13 assists, 12 digs, and 11 aces. 

The freshman helped Limestone to a 3-0 week with two conference wins over Anderson and Belmont Abbey.  For the week Kerrison totaled seven kills, with a .438 hitting percentage, 65 assists, 17 aces, 30 digs, and three blocks.
