LIMESTONE LOSES TWO ON DAY 2 OF RAIDER CLASSIC

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa.-- The Lady Saints volleyball team saw its record drop to 1-8 with two losses at the Raider Classic on Saturday. Limestone lost to Clarion in the morning, 3-0 (30-17, 30-17, 30-17) and dropped its afternoon contest to Shippensburg, 3-1 (31-29, 30-17, 22-30, 30-21).

In the first match of the morning, powerhouse outside hitter Melissa Thomas was sidelined with the flu and Jennifer O’Keefe and Sam Flannery were forced to pick up the slack as each player totaled 7 kills.  Chelsea Anthony picked up 11 digs with Courtney Taotoai added 10.

In game two, Thomas was back in action adding 16 kills while O’Keefe was not far behind with 10.  Taotoai stepped it up a notch adding 33 digs and Lynn Milam added 20 assists in the loss.

"We played hard and well against some quality teams at the
Shippensburg tournament.  It was a good experience and has helped us
prepare for our conference schedule,” said Coach Tim Loesch.
The Saints will be in action at home on Wednesday night in their Conference Carolinas opener against Belmont Abbey at 6:30 pm.
