SAINTS DROP TWO ON FIRST DAY OF RAIDER CLASSIC

SHIPPENSBURG, PA -- The Limestone College volleyball team dropped two hard fought five game matches on day one of the Raider Classic as they were defeated 3-2 by Kutztown University in the first match and again by Millersville University in the nightcap.

In the first match, Melissa Thomas (Easley, SC) led the offense with 20 kills on 40 attacks, Lynn Miliam (Summerville, SC) collected 25 assists. Courtney Taotoai (Norwalk, CA) stepped up the defense with 23 digs and Chelsea Anthony (Pickens, SC) added 18. Sam Flannery (Acworth, GA) led the team in blocks with 5.

Against Millersville, Thomas collected 27 kills, Jennifer O'Keeffe (Canton, GA) and Ashley Hubbard (Temple, TX.) added 12 and 11 kills respectively. Taotoai and Anthoney paced the defense with 31 and 27 digs apiece.

Limestone, now 1-6 on the season will resume play tomorrow morning with Clariion University at 10:00 am and host Shippensburg University at 5:00 pm.
