AUGUSTA, Ga. – Limestone’s Melissa Thomas and Sam Flannery
were each named to the Jaguar Classic all-tournament team at the conclusion
of the tourney on Saturday, Aug. 25, in Christenberry Fieldhouse.
Thomas and Flannery, both junior outside hitters, led the Saint’s
to a 1-3 showing in the two day tournament. Thomas collected 56 kills
over the four match tournament, including 17 in the loss Augusta State.
Flannery recorded 38 kills on the weekend with a team high 18 kills
in the loss to Newberry.
The Saints return to action this weekend when they travel to Shippensburg,
PA, to participate in Raider Classic. The Saints are slated to take
on Kutztown and Millersville at 2:00 & 6:00 on Friday. On Saturday
the Saints will start with Clarion at 10:00 am and finish up with host
Shippensburg at 5:00 pm in the afternoon.
