TURNER NAMED NEW TENNIS COACH AT LIMESTONE

GAFFNEY, S.C.—Limestone College Athletics Director Larry Epperly has announced that Keith Turner has been named head coach for the men’s and women’s tennis programs. Turner comes to Limestone from Emory and Henry College in Virginia where he served as an assistant coach for the tennis teams. Turner replaces Tyler Davis, who recently accepted a position at Presbyterian College.

“I’m really excited about this opportunity,” said Turner. “Tyler Davis left the programs in really great shape. I’m eager to build on last year’s success and improve in the national rankings.”

Turner is a certified U.S. Professional Tennis Association. He has organized several tennis tournaments. Turner has also taught tennis at several clubs including the Genesee Valley Tennis Club, the Genesys Athletic Club, and the Birmingham Athletic Club in Michigan. He also served as an assistant boy’s tennis coach at Grand Blanc High School, one of the Michigan’s top high school programs.

He began his college career at Boston University where he was a letterwinner as a freshman. Turner went on to play for Western Michigan for three years, where he was a varsity letterwinner from 1992-1994. He was co-captain for the Broncos as a senior.

Turner has a bachelor’s degree in public law from Western Michigan and holds a master’s degree in sports administration from Wayne State University.
