LIMESTONE WOMEN’S TENNIS PLAYS FOR CVAC CHAMPIONSHIP TOMORROW; MEN FINISH 4TH

SUMTER, S.C.—The Limestone College women’s tennis team defeated Pfeiffer University 5-2 on Saturday to advance to the CVAC Championship match on Sunday  at 1 p.m. against the 2007 regular season conference champion, Erskine College. The Saints suffered a 5-2 loss to Barton and lost to Mount Olive 5-3 to finish fourth in the tournament.

The Erskine women were the only CVAC team to upset the Lady Saints during the regular season as the Fleet beat Limestone 7-2 on April 10.

The 2007 CVAC men’s and women’s tennis championship is being played at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, S.C., and is hosted by Erskine College.
