SIX LIMESTONE TENNIS PLAYERS NAMED ALL-CONFERENCE; HOGAN NAMED FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR |

SUMTER, S.C.—Six Limestone College tennis players were named All-Conference, as announced at the 2006 Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference Tennis Banquet on Thursday night. On the men’s side, freshman Phillippe Hogan garnered Freshman of the Year and First Team All-CVAC honors. Christian Munn (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and Peter Elsborg (Copenhagen, Denmark) were named Second-Team All-CVAC. Lady Saint Jennifer Snaider (Asuncion, Paraguay) earned First Team honors, while Alexandra Gade (Copenhagen, Denmark) was named Second Team All-Conference. Melanie Kragl (Stuttgart, Germany) received All-CVAC honorable mention honors. The Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference All-CVAC Teams were determined by vote from each Head Coach of participating institutions. Nominations are collected and then voted upon by ballot and tallied to determine Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, Coach of the Year, All-CVAC First Team, All-CVAC Second Team and Honorable Mention Team. Limestone begins tournament action on Friday. The #2-seeded Lady Saints will take on #7 Mount Olive in their first match tomorrow, as the #2-seeded Saints men play #7 Erskine. The 2007 CVAC Tennis Tournament Championships are co-hosted by Erskine College and the Sumter Palmetto Park Tennis Complex in Sumter, SC.
