SEVEN LIMESTONE TENNIS PLAYERS NAMED TO CONFERENCE CAROLINAS ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM

SUMTER, S.C.-- Seven Limestone College tennis players were named to the Conference Carolinas All-Conference Team as announce by the league office on Thursday. Awards were presented at the league tennis team banquet at the Conference Tournament Championships co-hosted by Erskine College and the Sumter Palmetto Park Tennis Complex in Sumter, S.C.


On the men’s side, Thomas Ollivier (Caen, France), Mattieu Bosquet (Paris, France), Philippe Hogan (Montreal, Quebec, Canada) and Christian Munn (Sao Paulo, Brazil) earned All-Conference honors after leading the Saints to a second place finish in the league. The Saints were 14-7 overall, 8-1 in conference play.

Ollivier was named to the First Team after finishing the season at 13-7 overall, 6-2 in the conference at No. 1 singles. Ollivier also played No. 1 doubles along with partner Munn and the two finished the year at 11-7 overall, 6-2 in conference play. Munn was 13-5 overall, 8-0 in the conference at No. 4 singles and was named Honorable Mention.

No. 2 doubles partners Bosquet and Hogan were both named to the Second Team after going 17-3 overall, 9-0 in conference play. Hogan competed at No. 2 singles for the Saints and was 14-7 on the year, 6-3 in the league. Bosquet was 16-5, 8-1 at No. 3 singles.

On the women’s side, Alexandra Gade (Copenhagen, Denmark), Eve Aubry (Boucherville, Quebec, Canada) and Jen Snaider (Asuncion, Paraguay) led the Lady Saints to a 14-7 overall record, finishing 9-1 in the conference, good for a second place finish.

Gade received First Team honors after a 13-8, 8-2 season at No. 2 singles. Gade and Snaider were doubles partners competing at No. 1 for the Lady Saints and finished the season 14-7 overall, 9-1 conference. Snaider was named to the Second Team, playing No. 1 singles and finishing with a 10-11, 6-4 conference record. Aubry also picked up Second Team honors at No. 3 singles, with a 15-6, 9-1 record. At doubles, Aubry competed at the No.2 flight with Josephine Gade (Copenhagen, Denmark) as they finished the season at 15-6 overall, 9-1 league.
