LIMESTONE'S AUBRY NAMED WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Thomasville, N.C.> Limestone College’s Eve Aubry(12-5 overall, 7-0 conf.) has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas women's tennis Player of the Week during week number seven in the 2008 season.
Freshman Eve Aubry from Boucherville, Quebec, Canada led her Lady Saints to a 3-0 week in conference play. In the Saints 8-1 win over Anderson, Aubry defeated McDonald at No. 3 singles, 6-4, 6-3. Aubry and doubles partner Josephine Gade, also defeated AU’s Salvany/Goncalves 8-3. In the 9-0 shut-out of St. Andrews, she then beat Miliam 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 singles. Finally to finish the week in the 8-1 win over Coker, Aubry defeated Spencer 6-0, 6-3 and won in doubles 8-2. For the year, Aubry is 11-4 overall and 6-0 in league play.
