LADY SAINTS REMAIN UNBEATEN IN CONFERENCE PLAY WITH AN 8-1 WIN OVER COKER COLLEGE

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Lady Saints tennis team continued their unbeaten streak in Conference Carolinas play with an 8-1 win over Coker College on Saturday. The Lady Saints improve to 10-5 overall, 6-0 in the league with the win. The Cobras fall to 1-10 overall, 1-7 in conference play.

In doubles, the Saints won comfortably at the No. 2 and 3 but had to fight to the end to pick up the point at the No. 1 position.

In singles, the Saints sealed the deal by adding wins at five out of six positions, however they didn’t come easy. Limestone’s only loss came at No. 1 singles, as Rachel Lemar (London, England) out battled Jen Snaider (Asuncion, Paraguay) to win in a 3rd set match tie-breaker by a score of 5-7, 6-3, (10-8).

The Lady Saints return to the courts on Monday as they travel to Mars Hill, N.C. for a 2:30 p.m. match with Mars Hill College.
