LIMESTONE TENNIS SPLITS AT ANDERSON |
ANDERSON, S.C.-- The Limestone College men's tennis team suffered its first Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference loss of the season as the Lady Saints improved to 6-0 in conference play as Limestone split its twin bill against Anderson on Wednesday. The Trojans defeated the Saints 6-3 while the Limestone women easily defeated AU 7-2. The Lady Saints had to forfeit the No. 2 singles and No. 3 doubles matches due to an injury. Limestone improves to 16-6 overall as Anderson falls to 4-8 overall (3-3 CVAC). The Limestone men were up 2-1 after the doubles matches, but couldn’t get the wins in singles to defeat Anderson. Phillippe Hogan (Montreal, Quebec, Canada) got the Saints’ only singles win at No. 2. Limestone falls to 4-1 in conference play (14-9 overall) as Anderson remains the only undefeated team in the CVAC with a 5-0 conference record (9-6 overall). Limestone travels to Charlotte, N.C., to play Queens University on Friday at 2 p.m. |
