LIMESTONE TENNIS TEAMS GET VICTORIES AT NORTH-SOUTH DUALS |
WILSON, N.C.— The Limestone College tennis teams picked up victories at the North-South Duals hosted by Barton College on Friday, as the men’s and women’s squads recorded two victories each. The Lady Saints stand at 12-6 overall as the Saints have an 11-8 record. On the men’s side, Limestone picked up a 5-0 win over Chowan, and went on to defeat Methodist, 5-1. Paulo Avilia (Sao Paulo, Brazil) got the fifth point for Limestone after battling through three sets. The Lady Saints got a 5-0 victory over West Virginia State and defeated Lenoir-Rhyne 5-0. Limestone continues play at the tournament on Saturday. The men’s team will face a tough opponent in nationally-ranked Mercy, while the Lady Saints will take on the University of the District of Columbia. Both squads will also play North Greenville. |
