GAFFNEY, S.C.—The Limestone College men’s tennis team defeated Missouri Valley 7-2 at the Emmie Evans Rector Tennis Center on Tuesday afternoon. The Saints improve to 6-8 with the victory. Phillippe Hogan (Montreal, Quebec, Canada) won at the No. 1 singles slot (6-3, 6-2), while Peter Elsborg (Copenhagen, Denmark) won at No. 2 (7-6(4), 6-2). Christian Warnholtz (Mexico City, Mexico) defeated his opponent in two sets (6-2, 6-1), and Paulo Avilia (Sao Paulo, Brazil) won at No. 4 (6-0, 6-2). Elsborg and Hogan won at the No. 1 doubles flight, 8-4. Jafet Banuelos (Mexico City, Mexico) and Warnholt picked up an 8-2 win at No. 2. Matt Jacobs (Easley, S.C.) and Christopher Ross-da Silva (Lisbon, Portugal) had a 9-7 win at No. 3. Limestone travels to Greenville, Tenn., to play Tusculum on Saturday at 12 p.m.
