THOMASVILLE, N.C.> Limestone’s Alexandra Gade (7-3 overall,
4-0 conf.) has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas
women's tennis Player of the Week during week number four in the 2008
season. Senior Alexandra Gade went undefeated last week in both singles
and doubles play to lead the Lady Saints to a 3-0 week in conference
play.
The Saints had an 8-1 win over Lees-McRae. Gade defeated Andrea Balazsova
6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 singles. Gade and doubles partner Jen Snaider defeated
Balazsova/Nascimento at the No. 1 doubles flight 8-4. In the Saints
win over Converse, Gade shut-out Lindsey Kelly 6-0, 6-0 and at doubles,
Gade and Snaider shut out Jardim/Wilkes 8-0. In her final match of the
week, Gade took a win at No. 2 singles over Mia Bobrowski of Pfeiffer
6-0, 6-2 and the pair defeated Bobrowski/Smith 8-4 in doubles play.
