LIMESTONE TENNIS GETS CONFERNCE WINS OVER MOUNT OLIVE |

GAFFNEY, S.C.—The Limestone College men’s and women’s tennis teams recorded victories against Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference-rival Mount Olive on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Saints (7-5 overall/3-0 CVAC) picked up an 8-1 win over Mount Olive. The Saints (3-8 overall/3-0 CVAC) got a 6-3 win over the No. 38-ranked Trojans. The Lady Saints easily won all of their singles matches in two sets. Mount Olive’s only win came at the No. 2 doubles flight. Alexandra Gade and Jennifer Snaider got an 8-0 win at No. 1, while Jessie Griffin and Nicole Piazza defeated their opponents 8-1 at No. 3. On the men’s side, Mount Olive got wins at the No.1 and No. 3 singles, and at the third doubles flight. Christian Warnholtz and Christopher Ross-Da Silva battled through three sets for their wins, while Jafet Banuelos won his match in two sets. The Lady Saints travel to Spartanburg, S.C., to face Converse College on Monday at 4 p.m. Limestone’s men’s team hosts Missouri Valley at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the Emmie Evans Rector Tennis Center in Gaffney.
