GAFFNEY, S.C. – The Limestone men’s tennis team continued
a four game win streak, defeating Pfeiffer University 7-2 at the Emmie
Evans Rector Tennis Center on Thursday. The Saints climb to 5-3 on the
season and remain undefeated in Conference Carolinas action, 3-0. Pfeiffer
falls to 2-3 overall, 1-1 in league play.
The Saints walked through all three doubles matches, getting off to
a 3-0 start. In singles action, Limestone recorded wins at the No. 1,
No. 3, No. 4 and the No. 6 flights. At No. 5, Christian Warnholtz (Queretaro,
Mexico) was up 3-1 and went down with an injury, resulting in a default
loss for Limestone. Limestone also dropped the No. 2 singles flight.
Limestone will travel to Americus, Ga., on Monday to take on Georgia
Southwestern State at 3:00 p.m.
