LIMESTONE TENNIS FALLS TO USC-AIKEN IN MEN'S
AND WOMEN'S ACTION |
GAFFNEY, S.C. – The Limestone men's and women's tennis team dropped a pair of matches today to the Pacers of USC-Aiken. The Saints both drop to 0-2 on the season, while the Pacers advance to 3-2 and the Lady Pacers are 2-2 on the season. The Lady Saints were defeated 5-4 by the Lady Pacers, picking up 3 wins in singles competition and 1 in doubles play. Eve Aubry defeated USC-Aiken's Stephanie Humphrey 6-0, 6-0 at the #3 singles flight. Jessie Griffin and Lee Cribb also picked up wins at the #5 & #6 flights. In doubles competition, Griffin and Cribb defeated Marianne Blattes and Stephanie Humphrey 8-5. The men fell 6-3 to the Pacers, picking up 2 wins in singles competition
and 1 in doubles play. Phillippe Hogan defeated Juan M. Guglielmeti 6-2, 4-6
and 6-2 at the #3 singles flight and Christian Munn picked up a win
over Edward Horne at the #4 flight, 7-6, 6-3 and 7-3 in the tiebreak. The Saints managed
a win at #3 flight doubles as Hogan and Christian Warnholtz defeated
Duran Diego and Nathan Berlyn 8-5.
