SAINTS TENNIS LOSES TO NCAA DIVISION I’S COASTAL CAROLINA

CONWAY, S.C.-- The Limestone College tennis teams fought hard but both came away with losses to Coastal Carolina (NCAA Division I) on Friday afternoon.The Lady Saints lost 7-0 while the Saints lost 6-1. NCAA Division I uses a seven point system rather than Division II’s nine point system.

Jennifer Snaider had one of the highlight performances on the women’s side, but lost 7-5, 7-1. The Chanticleers were ranked 75th in the nation last year.

On the men’s side, Peter Elsborg defeated his opponent in three sets, while Phillipe Hogan lost a close match in three sets.

“Both teams played really well today,” said Limestone Head Coach Tyler Davis. “Today’s performance will carry over to our match against Francis Marion tomorrow.”

Limestone will play Francis Marion in Florence, S.C., tomorrow at 10 a.m.
