LIMESTONE MEN’S TENNIS PICKED 3RD IN CVAC PRESEASON POLL |
THOMASVILLE, N.C.—The Limestone College men’s tennis team was picked to finish third in the 2007 Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference preseason poll. Peter Elsborg and Christian Warnholtz were named Players to Watch. The Saints had one of the best seasons since joining NCAA Division II last year, as the squad earned its first national ranking and highest finish ever in the CVAC (17-10, 6-3 CVAC). Limestone returns All-CVAC honoree Peter Elsborg and Christian Munn, who missed most of last season with a back injury. The team has also added Paulo Avila, Christian Warnholtz and Philippe Hogan to the roster. The Saints had a successful fall season, competing at the ITA Regional and the CVAC Individual tournament. The Saints are also ranked in the FILA Intercollegiate Tennis Association preseason national rankings coming in at No. 35. CVAC Pre-Season Coaches Poll (1st place votes in parenthesis) 1.
