LIMESTONE SWIM TEAMS BEAT PFEIFFER

MISENHEIMER, N.C.-- The Limestone College men's and women's swim teams both picked up wins against Pfeiffer on Friday night. The Saints defeated the Falcons 119-81 as the Lady Saints picked up a 124-68 win.

Chad McKenzie (Durban, South Africa) made the NCAA "B" with his times in the 400 individual medley (4:11.64) and the 200 breastroke (2:09.93) as he set new Limestone records in both events. Four more records were broked on the men's side. Zeljko Karaman (Split, Croatia) set new times in the 1650 freestyle (17:16.45) and the 500 free (4:52.17), as Craig Jordens (Cape Town, South Africa) broke the 200 free record with his time of 1:48.84. Matt Parsonage (Durban, South Africa) set a new record with a time of 2:01.22 in the 200 butterfly. Tariq Turner (Anderson, S.C.) swam the 100 free in 51.43 to win the event.

The Lady Saints 400 medley relay team of Jenna Arington (Pittsford, N.Y), Carmen Adams (Conway, S.C.), Jessi Sullivan (Lancaster, S.C.), and Marija Grubic (Split, Croatia) won with a time of 4:19.03. Renee Pouchet (Maravel, Trinidad & Tobago), Donna Wickham (Tacarigua, Trinidad & Tobago), Grubic, and Arington won the 400 free (3:47.26).

Ines Speranda (Split, Croatia) won the 1650 yard free (19:40.07) and the 200 fly. Pouchet took first in the 200 free (2:06.43).Molly Reichwald (Atlanta, Ga.) finished first in the 500 free (5:31.24) and had atime of 4:54.85 to win the 400 IM. Grubic won the 200 back (2:11.86) as Wickham took second (2:16.31). Adams won the 200 breaststroke (2:33.97).

Limestone's women's team travels to Hickory, N.C., on November 10 for a meet against Lenoir-Rhyne at 1 p.m. The men and women will be back in action on November 16 as the Saints host Wingate at the Timken Aquatic Center in Gaffney at 5 p.m.
