LIMESTONE’S BROWN NAMED CVAC SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

THOMASVILLE, N.C.—Limestone College junior Jessica Brown was named Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference Softball Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.

Brown, originally from Inman, S.C., posted a .474 batting average last week as she led the Lady Saints to a win against Carson-Newman and a two-game sweep versus conference-foe Lees-McRae. She hit two homeruns against the Bobcats in game two. For the week, Brown hit four doubles, scored five runs, and had a team-high seven RBIs.

She has 20 RBIs, nine doubles, six homeruns, and has scored 13 runs while appearing in 35 games this season as she has seen playing time as a catcher, left fielder, and designated player.
