LIMESTONE’S DEMARR NAMED CVAC PITCHER OF THE WEEK

THOMASVILLE, N.C.—Limestone College freshman Lisa DeMarr (Alpharetta, Ga.), was named Carolinas Virginia Athletics Conference Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday. DeMarr helped the Lady Saints softball team to three wins the week of February 26.

DeMarr got her first win of the season against Newberry last Wednesday, and went on to get wins in her other two appearances against Shepherd University and Fairmont State. She pitched a complete game against Fairmont State, striking out five batters for the 4-0 shutout. She also had five strikeouts against Shepherd University to help Limestone to the 10-2 win. DeMarr has struck out 30 batters this season and has a 2.38 ERA in six appearances.
