LIMESTONE MEN’S SOCCER RANKED NO. 20 IN NATIONAL PRE-SEASON POLL

The Limestone College men’s soccer team is ranked No. 20 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas preseason NCAA Division II national poll. The Saints finished the 2006 season with a 13-6-6 record while capturing the 2006 conference tournament title, advancing to the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Division II tournament, and being named the most improved team in Division II.

Limestone will face two teams in 2007 that are also included in the preseason rankings. The Saints will play No. 13 Lander on October 3 in Greenwood, S.C., and will take on Conference Carolinas-rival No. 14 Queens on September 11 in Charlotte, N.C.

Limestone kicks off the regular season on Saturday, August 25 when the squad travels to Waleska, Ga., to face Reinhardt College at 4 p.m. The Saints will play their first home game on Wednesday, August 29 when they host Newberry at 4 p.m.at Saints Field in Gaffney, S.C.
