LIMESTONE ALUMNI AND CURRENT PLAYER COMPETE AT WORLD LACROSSE CHAMPIONSHIP; WARD AND IROQUOIS NATIONAL SQUAD TO PLAY ON CSTV THIS SATURDAY

LONDON, ONTARIO- Three Limestone men's lacrosse alumni and one current player are set to compete at the 2006 World Lacrosse Championship on July 13-22. Brad Nasato will play at defensive midfield for the Italian national team, Keith Nyberg will represent Australia, and Roger Vyse and current Saint goalkeeper Marty Ward are on the Iroquois national team roster. Twenty-three nations from around the world compete at this premier event in the sport of lacrosse that is held every four years in July.

The World Lacrosse Championship is organized in accordance with the guidlines of the International Lacrosse Federation to promote and develop the game of lacrosse. The site of this year's games includes TD Waterhouse Stadium at the University of Western Ontario and the North London Fields.

Nyberg and the Australian team will play the United States on July 14 at 4 p.m. at the TD Waterhouse Stadium while Nasato and the Italian squad faces Italy on the same day and time at the North London Fields.

Ward is expected to start for the Iroquois national team against Canada on Saturday, July 15. That match will be broadcast on CSTV at 1:30 p.m. Vyse had an outstanding career at Limestone, as he broke a 34-year-old Division II scoring record in 2005 by recording 71 goals in a season.
