LIMESTONE MEN’S GOLF IN 5TH AT ACCUSPORT INTERCOLLEGIATE |
CONOVER, N.C.—The Limestone College golf team shot 325 in the first round of the AccuSport Intercollegiate hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne at the par-72, 7180-yard Rock Barn Golf Club on Monday. Three of the Saints are currently in the top 15 of the tournament field.
Lander University leads the 10-team field after scoring 305. Pfeiffer University is second (312), tournament-host Lenoir-Rhyne is third (313), while Barton College is fourth (321).
Paul Butler (Gaffney, S.C.) leads the Saints after firing 77 and is in eighth place.
Chris Etheredge (West Columbia, S.C.) shot 79 to tie for 10th, while Chris Taylor (Houston, Texas) is tied for 13th (80). Wally Brennan (Brewster, Mass.) shot 89 to tie for 43rd, while Bryson Jones (Graniteville, S.C.) is 45th with 90.
Limestone continues play at the AccuSport Intercollegiate on Tuesday.
