LIMESTONE MEN’S GOLF FINISHES 12TH AT AASU/SOUTHBRIDGE PIRATE INVITATIONAL

SAVANNAH, Ga.—The Limestone men’s golf team finished in 12th at the AASU/Southbridge Pirate Invitational on Tuesday. The Saints fired a two-round score of 636 at the tournament, held at the par-72, 6922-yard Southbridge Golf Club. Paul Butler (Gaffney, S.C.) was the Saints’ top finisher as he tied for eighth with a one over par score of 145. His finish on Tuesday was his fourth top 10 finish of the season.

Georgia College and State University won the tournament with a two under par score of 574. USC-Upstate was second with 584, tournament-host Armstrong Atlantic was third after scoring 587, Lander finished fourth with 592, and Valdosta State University was fifth was 594.

Chris Taylor (Houston, Texas) fired 157 to finish in 46th, Bryson Jones (Graniteville, S.C.) was 57th with 162, Tyler Smith (Spartanburg, S.C.) was 62nd after scoring 176, and Chris Etheredge (West Columbia, S.C.) was 63rd with 191.

Limestone will be back in action on March 3-5 when the Saints host the Upstate Classic in Gaffney, S.C.
