LIMESTONE’S BUTLER AND CLAYTON NAMED CVAC PLAYERS TO WATCH; PRESEASON POLLS RELEASED

THOMASVILLE, N.C.— Limestone College golfers Paul Butler (Gaffney, S.C.) and Katie Clayton (Lyman, S.C.) were named to the Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference’s Preseason Players to Watch list, as released by the league office.

Limestone’s men’s golf team was picked to finish seventh in the CVAC preseason coaches poll, while the Lady Saints are sixth.

Butler earned 2006 CVAC Honorable Mention honors. Clayton was a Second Team All-CVAC winner in 2006 and was named to the conference’s All-Tournament team. Butler and Clayton each both named CVAC Golfer-of-the-Month in October.

The Lady Saints open their spring schedule this weekend at the Kiawah Island Invitational. The men’s team begins its spring season at the Armstrong Atlantic State University Pirate Invitational on February 26-27.
