SPARTANBURG METHODIST’S CREAL COMING TO LIMESTONE

GAFFNEY, S.C.—Limestone College Head Men’s Basketball Coach Larry Epperly announced that Shawn Creal, a 6-foot 1-inch guard, will join the Saints for the upcoming season. Creal is a transfer from Spartanburg Methodist College, where he had a very successful junior college career.

“Shawn is strong and a very good shooter,” Epperly pointed out. “He will add valuable experience and leadership to our team. He knows how to win.”

As a team captain for the Pioneers, Creal helped SMC to a 39-25 record during his two years there. He averaged 9.2 points per game as a sophomore and 11.3 points per game as a freshman while playing for Head Coach Rob Burke.

“This is the third straight year we have signed a player from Spartanburg Methodist,” pointed out Epperly. “Coming from a great program makes a difference. Spartanburg Methodist players have had great success here. We expect the same from Shawn.”

Creal is from Spartanburg, S.C., and was a letterman at Dorman High School. He is the son of Sherry Jenkins and will major in athletic training at Limestone.
