PRICE SIGNS WITH LIMESTONE

GAFFNEY, S.C.—  Limestone College Head Men’s Basketball Coach Larry Epperly has announced that Marcus Price, a 6-foot-3-inch guard from Fort Myers, Fla., has signed to play with the Saints for the upcoming 2007-08 season.  

“Marcus fits in well with what we are doing at Limestone,” said Epperly. “He is strong and very athletic, and can shoot and handle the ball. He is also a quality student.”

Price was a three-year letter winner playing for Head Coach Ed O’Brien at Fort Myers High School where he averaged 14.5 points per game, 5.1 rebounds per game, and 3.3 assists per game. Price was a team captain as a junior and senior, and was the team’s Most Improved Player in 2005. His team won the district championship three times  and the squad was a two-time regional finalist. Price was named a Southwest Florida All-Star in 2007 and Second-Team All-Area.

“We are very excited to have Marcus join our program,” Epperly continued. “He should see plenty of playing time as a freshman.”
