SAINTS BASKETBALL INKS GRIER

GAFFNEY, S.C.—Limestone College Head Men’s Basketball Coach Larry Epperly has announced the signing of point guard Bobby Grier. Grier, a 5-foot-10-inch guard from Powder Springs, Ga., will join the Saints for the 2007-08 season.

“Our recruiting efforts have centered around guards,” pointed out Epperly. “Bobby Grier is a legitimate point guard and will have a chance to play as a freshman. He comes from a quality high school program at McEachern High School.”

Grier, a 5-foot-10-inch incoming freshman, led his McEachern High School team to a 22-4 record last year while averaging 9.2 points per game, 4.5 rebounds per game, and 6.5 assists per game.  The Indians, under the direction of Head Coach Nick Chaykowsky, were ranked in the top 10 among AAAAA all season and were sub-region champions.

Grier is the son of Renee-Price Sherman.
