SAINTS CLUB GOLF TOURNAMENT HAS BIGGEST YEAR YET

GAFFNEY, S.C.—The Limestone College Saints Club held its biggest golf tournament yet on Friday with 29 teams and over 115 players. The tournament, held at the Cherokee National Golf Club, benefited all 18 of Limestone’s athletic teams.

Participants enjoyed a round of golf at Cherokee National, lunch, and dinner provided by Lisa's Hawgs and Dawgs.

Katie Clayton, Bruce Clayton, Michael Campbell, and Bruce Redmon of Team Clayton won the tournament while Team CGI’s Dean Carpenter, David Lamb, Mike Sherrill, and Grant Hoffman took second.

The tournament’s top prize of greens fees at Caledonia Golf Club and True Blue Golf Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C., were provided by Todd Weldon and Bob Seganti. The winning team will also receive lodging at the Hampton Inn in Pawley’s Island, S.C.

“I’d like to thank everyone who played and volunteered at today’s golf tournament,” said Will Goode, Limestone’s Associate Athletics Director for Development and Marketing. “This was the biggest tournament we’ve ever had and it’s great to see everyone come out and support Saints athletics.”
