THOMASVILLE, N.C.-- Conference Carolinas was proud to announce the 2006-07 Presidential Honor Roll. This was the final Presidential Honor Roll class of the Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference era. Conference institutions have once again raised the academic bar as over 1000 student-athletes achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.00 scale) at their institutions. The league's emphasis on "Academics and Athletics Working Together" has yielded the largest Presidential Honor Roll in conference history as this unique conference strives to be the front runner in NCAA Division II.
The Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference officially changed its name to Conference Carolinas while adding Converse College as a full member to the league on June 1, 2007.
